Residentsline has produced three documents to help Directors & Officers of Residents Associations & Property Management Companies understand and manage their responsibilities under Health & Safety Regulations.

The three documents are:

1.

A Health & Safety Guide which contains information on this important aspect of the law and recommends a number of publications.

The information contained in the guide, coupled with implementation of the advice contained in the recommended publications, will help reduce the probability of incidents and of a civil action being taken against the Management Company.

   
2.

A Health & Safety Audit Form for Residents Associations and Property Management Companies.

Note: This document, together with the document below, are made available in MS Word so that Directors or Officers can adapt them for their own use, e.g. by adding the name of their Residents Associations.
   
3.

A Form designed to help Residents Associations assess the suitability of Contractors with regard to Health & Safety.

Health & Safety legislation places obligations on those responsible for selection & appointment of Contractors who will be engaged in work activities. Contractors should be selected on the grounds of their past safety record and present ability to work safely as well as quality and price.
